Customer feedback
This episode is our first HDTV. (We also have a 32 "Vizio for children is used.) I spent a lot of time researching HDTV technology to know what is hype and what is important. I spent some time in comparison shopping is to get an idea obtain the differences, although often they did not have the same content or too far apart to easily compare. Otherwise, I have shown that the 120Hz Smooth Motion technology for a photo more beautiful, regardless of the input are made, if onlyReason than that more lights on the panel.
I read every review I've found. I could not in-depth professional reviews, but I found many like this. The core of my research suggests that the SV370XVT probably serve our purpose well, but I really can not offer an expert opinion, compared to other similar series. If it were for sale at the destination for the Super Bowl, I bought it. Now it is mounted on the wall in the bedroom, replacing a CRT TVstop.
Overall I'm pleased with this set. The viewing angle is wide, so it works well in all bedrooms (with a common Sanus MF110-B1 wall mount for 26 "to 42" Displays (Black)). I set the backlight at about 25 for the night, which, because otherwise flood the room with light. I can not talk about the picture quality of 1080p HD content, as we do not have Blu-Ray, but it works very well with the DVD that makes the sharpest I've ever seen. OTAHD programming looks very nice, but since this is 1080i, the best (or is it 720p?), is certainly not an ideal testing ground for TV, so I have not tried the HD performance in a set can last.
Play in full screen (4:3) DVD may require composite or component video inputs, depending on the DVD player. For example, a Sony DVP-NS700H / B 1080p Upscaling DVD Player, Black, is fine with the HDMI connection, but with a Toshiba DVD recorder DKR401080p Upconversion and Bonus HDMI cable is required with the composite or component input for DVD and 4:3 HDMI input for DVD in widescreen.
The remote is a bit 'weird. It 'easy to hold and offers convenient access to a variety of useful features, but is a feature that may be more than seven shots, a feature that we use to access each night (!): The sleep function. There is no standby button on the remote. You must Menu, Down, Down, OK, Down, Down, pressDown, then press left or right below the time rotation options, and then press Menu twice. You can leave the last two button presses when you want the menu to time out (one minute). This is ridiculous. If we consider the number of function buttons on the remote control (21), and the space between the media and mute switch, a button Vizio easily with direct access to the settings of sleep have been adopted.
We do not use the speakers, as we have connected the audio output stereoto a normal stereo (not surround). There is an option to make the output, and has a volume on the remote control, the level of output. That is, we can use the TV remote control, rather than the stereo remote to control the volume.
Another, less desirable part of the television is on the logo directly below the screen. When the TV is "off" of the logo is orange. That is, a night light is orange. If the TV is on, the logo is white. That is, if theThe screen is dark due to a fade to black or a dark scene, is the white logo is distractingly bright.
I can also some white light on the wall behind the TV. I do not know if the backlight or logo, but can be a bit 'annoying. Do other TV's have the same problem? I have no idea.
We are pleased with this TV. It 'a lot better (and bigger) of our old set. The 4:3 display (via component input) is a little larger than a standard TV 32-inch, 16:9 aspect ratioDisplay (via HDMI) is a bit 'bigger. If it is not necessary for the lack of sleep button on the remote, and the sequence of ridicule, the sleep function, without getting a hand, the illuminated logo, and the lack of experience with real pictures in high definition, I would have this TV five stars.
